Brand New Album “TREES” Coming This June

Trees have always fascinated me. My whole life I’ve stared up at them in wonder. As a child I was a literal tree-hugger, it was my thing, there are pictures in Neufeld family albums to prove it. As an adult Iโ€™m still in awe, but beyond the outward beauty I’m now so much more taken with the way that God uses the trees to speak to my heart. There have been so many lessons for me over the years in the quiet groves and the towering canopies. So many revealed truths of longevity and steadfastness. From Eden to the cross and throughout history there’s something so constant and foundational about trees. They are, in a physical sense, what this collection of songs has been for me in a spiritual sense. My spiritual trees, the theological and emotional pillars of my life, are, and always have been, the worship songs of others. Songs that were planted in my heart and have grown their way into the very fabric of my life. It’s my prayer that these “trees” will also speak to you. I invite you to climb them, sit in their branches, and be free. This is TREES.

PSALM 1:3
Youโ€™re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month. Never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

  1. Love this. The work you’ve done with Starfield is definitely a part of my life’s spiritual trees. Be blessed Tim.

    • Thanks Aaron ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. If I were to record an album with a similar concept as trees there would definitely be some Starfield songs on it. I’m grateful for the words and melodies God has inspired you to write. I find myself singing along to just about every Starfield song, but Filled With Your Glory, Son of God, and Reign in Us are particular favorites and they’ve become staples for the congregations I’ve had the privilege to lead in worship through song!

    • I’m Honoured! Thanks for the kind words Tim ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I remember back to the first time I was lead in worship by you and Jon. I was maybe 13, 14 years old. It was in a little town in Digby, Nova Scotia, on a thanksgiving weekend, and you were fronting for one of my favorite bands… Plus One. I remember the long trip there and being so exciting to see this boy band I had a major crush on and wondering who these brother’s were and if they were any good. Little did I know I would leave that night getting so much more than I had come to receive, and not knowing how many times our lives would cross in the future. I’ve since seen Starfield many times and it’s a hard thing to describe, but Tim, the way you worship; the passion, the longing for God, the pain and brokenness in your voice and eyes when crying out to Him, the joy and relief, the steadfastness you convey through your words I have rarely seen so clearly as I have seen it in you. You are a wonderful Shepard, I have looked to you as an example so many times, and God has used you in many ways to break my heart and bring me back to the focus of my life; worship and my relationship with Him. This may be 12 or 13 years late, but thank you. I look forward to the day we meet, whether here or in Heaven. Bless you and your family!

  4. Love the new album. Great to hear the songs and your story. We are wondering if there is a way to get the chord charts somewhere like the startfield songs.

Thanks for the music and story.

    Blessings
